She is very good and I think she is a better wife. Who is better Sanjeeda as girlfriend or as a wife? Thankfully, for me it’s been great and whatever I thought about the philosophy of marriage is what has actually happened. Initially, I was very scared of getting married as people kept telling me that marriage is not good and you will be burdened with responsibilities.However, marriage has been like a picnic so far. How is life after marriage and has it changed you? You never know I might be back after the leap (laughs). It’s always good to quit a show on a high note rather than staying back and doing nothing. And there is no point in staying in FIR as the show is taking a leap so I think it was the right time to leave. It was getting too hectic for me and was not able to give the required dates. Our director Shashank, Gopiji, Gul Gule these are the people I will miss the most.įIR and Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka… together could have given you chance to prove your versatility? What made you to opt out of the show? FIR was a paid picnic for me we were paid to have fun. I will miss the fun element that we had on the show. In fact I will be wrapping up shoot with FIR this week. There are news all over that you are quitting FIR so will you miss being a part of FIR? Before FIR I had never done comedy in my career and I am happy that it worked. I’ve relished and enjoyed playing these two characters because Rehne Waali Ki happened to me in the initial days of my career and FIR was a challenge for me.
One would be the character from Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki and the other one would be Bajrang Pandey from FIR. Which character of yours is close to your heart? I can see the same enthusiasm, positivity and bonding already. While working on Rehne Waali… I realized that the show worked because the people right from the co-actors to the unit on the sets everyone was well coordinated. It was really nice and was quite a nostalgic feeling. They have in fact kept the same name Saumya. It’s an extension of what I played in the previous show Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki. My character is a typical Rajshri hero who is very sincere, sidha saadha. Tell us something about your role and how was your first day on the show?

The content of the show is very good and you never know anything can happen in the TV industry. I know Sahara is not going through a very good phase right now but if they promote the show in a right way the show will definitely work. there was no TRP and slowly we reached to new heights. If the product is good it will talk and I can t talk about TRP’s because that depends on the channel the way they promote and that is not in my hand. Secondly, the best shows I have done till now are Woh Rehne and FIR and both were not on a very strong GEC’s so it doesn’t matter to me. I have been in the industry from last seven or eight years so I like working with people whom I gel well with. I have reached a state in my career, where I want to be comfortable with whom I work. Whenever I have done a show I have done it for the love of the audience I am working with. Weren’t you keen on working with a more popular GEC’s? I’ve always tried to do different roles and glad being part of this project. I had a fabulous working experience so when Soorajji narrated me the story I instantly liked the script and I just took up the offer without thinking much as I believe in my gut feeling. They know what they want and it becomes very easy for an actor when you get everything on platter. Tell us something about your association with Rajshri?Īpart from being very strong creatively, Rajshri’s are one of the sweetest people one can ever work with.
